In no particular order.

Go to Iceland again.
This time I would like to go out into the countryside walking a bit more, so it would probably be best in the summer time. I'm unlikely to get around to it this year but it is definitely somewhere that really caught me, despite me normally being a big-city girl for breaks away.

Get another tattoo.
I'd like to get some stars done on my right foot. I'll probably get some painted on at some point to see if I still like it and to see if it is subtle enough. I would also like to have my german a bit better before embarking on this one so I can check out review sites and communicate with little risk of misunderstanding. Less worries about bad hygienic practices here though.

Get some backup sunglasses
If I'm organised enough, I might even manage to set an appointment for this today. Unfortunately, I lost my original optical prescription which is only about a year old, so I'd need a retest.

Learn to speak Italian.
Just a little - enough to cope on holiday. Not really a priority at the moment while I'm kicking at the wall of German somewhere around the interminable B2 (european language grading) level.

Make a career plan.
Work out what I need from this job. Make it happen. Need to talk to new boss about that.

Go to the gym more.
Supposed to go 3 times a week. Managing about 1.5 atm due to their opening hours with holidays and my energy peaks and troughs. I am doing my daily sit-ups though, even if the cat does try to distract me by licking my elbow when I'm trying. I do feel better when I go, so I don't know why I'm so good at talking myself out of it.

Why? Do you really think life will follow that plan?

May I suggest: http://www.amazon.com/Adventures-Johnny-Bunko-Career-Guide/dp/1594482918/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210779558&sr=8-1

Although I'm still kinda scratching my head on some of the presentation methods the author used, this was still an interesting read. Can't say I necessarily take everything he says for "the universal truth", but still it's not too bad.

Um. Yes? by notafurry (2.00 / 0) #3 Wed May 14, 2008 at 02:22:03 PM EST
So far hasn't been a problem for me. The few jobs where it wasn't working, that was the sign it was time to get out.

It has worked almost word-perfect up to now...
