Had difficulties because I didn't know the password, so I had to call my roommate in Hawaii so he could reset the password for the account with the ISP.

I don't remember much, just waking up with the taste of ginger in my mouth every morning.

Alas. Things aren't so bad, though. I didn't get it in Milwaukee. I did, however, go to the liquor store. I made a Dark and Stormy when I got home. I also picked up some stuff from an end-of-bin sale. Got some cheap cachaca and some whiskey (McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt Whiskey, aged 3 yrs), $6 off and $15 off respectively.

I really am going to kill something. I fail it. Either that or I had too much caffeine.

For serious. Honestly, this is stupid to do without SPSS or something. It's stupid to do with it, but not as time-consuming, idiotic, or pointless. I have other stuff to do. It won't add anything to the presentation.

So, in the end, I didn't deliver what they wanted, but they're fine with that (at least, I declare them so) and I'm gravy and I went and got coffee. I'm going to a potluck tonight, different set of hosts, so I haven't been completely blacklisted from the potluck circuit, it seems, even if I estimate that I am still persona au gratin with that one circle.

I suppose it's time to come clean: I am, it seems, a Republican liberal arts grad student who always believes himself to be the smartest man in the room. I will admit: it's a tough cross to bear, but somebody has to carry it. If not me, then who? If not now, then when?

...but instead got roped into all-you-can-eat fish and chips. Well, there you have it.

I got my disc golf discs, though, so I'll practice my drives today or something. It's been years since I've played. I haven't played seriously since I got a bronze in the U15 (!) division of the $STATE Games. I played occasionally in high school when they started a club, but not too much. Let's see if I can get 300' drives straight out of the box. 400' would be improbable given how long it's been since I've seriously thrown (not since high school ultimate).

I'm, uh, going to $OTHER_TOWN for a day and wearing my suit in a couple weeks.

I got up early this morning and got to work early, so I needed some coffee. Happens once every couple weeks or so. So, I went to the coffee shop in the basement (by the way, I work in one of the buildings from the new Batman movie, if that helps you visualize it) to order some coffee...

I just got my swim trunks in the mail. It's been a while since I've been swimming. I'm going to conquer the lake.
